Nicholas Cage
Nicholas Cage, was born Nicholas Kim Coppola
on 7 January 1964 in Long Beach, California.
Changing his name (he took his stage name from comic book character Luke Cage)
to avoid trading on the name of his famous uncle director Francis Ford Coppola, Nicolas Cage is best known for taking on quirky roles.
After a bit role in Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982)
he took a job reading lines with auditioners for uncle Francis's movie Rumble Fish
earning a part in that movie and Valley Girl which effectively launched his career.
