Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera, was born Christina Maria Aguilera
on 18 December 1980 in Staten Island, New York.
After beginning her singing career at the ripe old age of six, Christina later appeared on Star Search where she was voted runner up.
By twelve she had won a position in "The New Mickey Mouse Club" appearing along side future stars Britney Spears, J.C. and Justin (of 'N Sync fame) and Keri Russell.
In 1988 she auditioned to sing in the movie Mulan by cutting a "one take" demo in her living room and sending it to Disney.
Within the week she was in the studio recording "Reflection" for Mulan and had signed a record contract with RCA Records.
Reflection later went on to earn a Golden Globe Nomination for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture.
